MLB Drafts Six Southwest Florida High Schoolers

Lee County's highest ever Major League Baseball Draft pick went to Bobby Borchering, recent grad of Bishop Verot, in the first round as the 16th pick overall. The Arizona Diamondbacks selected Borchering on Tuesday; he is considered by some baseball experts to be the best hitter in high school baseball in the country.
